Married at First Sight UK stars Owen Jenkins and Michelle Walder have announced they’re expecting their first baby together.
The couple wed moments after meeting on the fifth series of the E4 show back in 2020.
Three years on, the pair announced that they’re set to welcome the pitter-patter of tiny feet this December.
Taking to Instagram, they first shared a photo of themselves together with Jenkins holding bags of ice while Walder cradled her burgeoning bump. A second photo followed – a baby scan.
Alongside the photos, they wrote on Instagram: “So, we’ve got news… #mafsuk #mafsbaby #mafsukbaby #comingdecember2023”.
MAFS expert Paul Brunson, who helped matchmake the couple, commented on their happy news, writing: “You’ll both be incredible parents.”
“Congrats guys!” wrote fellow MAFS star Adam Aveling, who welcomed his first child with wife Tayah.
Fans also shared their well wishes for the pair, who are now based in Sheffield.
One penned: “OMG I’m sooooo happy for you both! Congratulations”.
“Congratulations to you both. Such exciting happy news. Thank you for sharing it with us,” another wrote. “Aww super exciting!!! And excellent photo. Big congrats”.
A fourth commented: “So so excited for you both! Happy healthy months ahead!”
“Been following since MAFS, so nice to see your still together and a baby on the way! Wish you both all the best,” another viewer added.
Another echoed: “I don’t know you personally but I’ve followed since the start! Literally crying!!!!! so happy for you both.”
Following their announcement, they took to their Instagram Stories to thank their followers for the outpouring of support.
The wrote alongside a beaming selfie of themselves: “Thank you all for for your amazing messages and comments – grateful for all the positivity.”
The pair are the second couple from the UK series to start a family, with Tayah and Adam being the first.
The pair, who fell for one another on the E4 show back in 2021, welcomed their first child, Beau, last year.
Announcing Beau’s birth, Tayah shared a sweet photo of the three of them on Instagram and wrote: “7th October, the day our lives completely changed.”
