In the latest episode of Married at First Sight UK, one groom admitted he didn't think it would work out before they even tied the knot.

When Josh approached the altar to meet his future wife for the first time, something made his face immediately drop.

His supposed perfect match, sports journalist Amy, asked him his name. When he told her, she turned to a friend and said she predicted his name and suit colour correctly.

She admitted to a confused Josh that she was "spiritual", and Josh said he was "not into the whole spiritual thing".

Later, she asked him his birthday and discovered he was a Scorpio, which Josh didn't quite understand.

During the wedding photoshoot, Amy asked: "Do you want to do a little kiss?", to which Josh awkwardly responded: "Let's save that for later...".

The couple were off to a rocky start, with Josh admitting during the wedding party: "I don't know if there's a spark between us."

He also revealed his feelings about her spirituality: "I'm not saying I don't agree with it... but in the long run it might not work."

Amy also had her concerns with the pairing. Before meeting Josh, she said "28 [years old] is probably the youngest I'd go."

She was undeniably shocked upon finding out Josh was 26 years old to her 34. She admitted being confused about his involvement in the show, adding: "You can't want to settle down at 26."

After the wedding, Josh pressed her about sleeping arrangements. When she responded that "obviously we're not going to have sex," Josh rolled his eyes.

The other couple featured in this episode fared better than the seemingly mismatched Josh and Amy.

Fitness coach Franky and personal trainer Marilyse had a relatively hiccup-free day.

Upon seeing her groom-to-be, Marilyse thought he was a "Daniel Craig lookalike" and said their wedding was the "perfect day" despite the wedding ring not fitting.

"I just told him to ram it on and he did," Marilyse later admitted.
