Married at First Sight UK: Where are the couples now ahead of Series 4 return?

Four complete strangers will be tying the knot when Married at First Sight returns to our TV screens tonight.

Hundreds of thousands of hopefuls applied to be on the fourth series of the Channel Four show which airs on Wednesday, March 20.

But Married at First Sight isn't known for its success rate, with all 10 couples who have appeared on the programme since 2016 having now split up.

So ahead of its return, we take a look back to see where the couples are now and what they've been up to.

Ben and Stephanie

The one we all thought would work out took a surprising turn in March last year after Ben declared that it was over between him and Stephanie before joining Celebrity Big Brother.

Speaking to Lizzie Cundy and Stephen Leng on Fubar Radio, he revealed that he "couldn’t give her what she wanted and what she needed".

In August he then announced he was expecting a baby - however it was not with Stephanie, who accused him of being unfaithful and said the “bottom fell out of my world” when she learned he had shared a “kiss and a cuddle” with another woman.

Lucie and Steve

Who could forget Lucie and Steve's unforgettable "obligatory Game of Thrones chat" after they got married in the second series, complete with some very awkward silences and a shy Steve?

But it was perhaps a bit too awkward for the pair and despite their best efforts they split six weeks later after Lucie decided they should be friends instead.

However it's not all bad news as the former married couple are reportedly close friends and meet up regularly.

Kate and Jason

If a newly-married groom goes on Tinder shortly after his wedding, it's safe to assume the marriage is already doomed.

Jason was caught scrolling on his phone just days after the pair said "I do" - however he insisted he only signed up to the dating site because he knew the marriage was over.

Court documents also emerged showing Kate wanted the doomed marriage annulled on the grounds that Jason "willfully" refused to consummate it.

Richard and Harriet

Viewers were convinced that dog person Richard and cat person Harriet would not be a good fit after they revealed their pet preferences to each other... and they were right.

The couple split soon after their special day despite their best efforts to save the relationship by going on dates to try and drum up even a little bit of chemistry.

It was a shame, because they both looked upset on announcing they were getting a divorce at the end of series three.

Caroline and Adam

The one that got away. Everyone was convinced these two would stay together but alas - the curse of MAFS struck again.

After they moved in together and bought a rabbit, the future looked great for Caroline and Adam.

But unfortunately it wasn't to be, and the couple were granted a divorce, blaming a lack of chemistry for the decision.

The pair reportedly don't talk anymore, and Caroline tried to sell her £850 Vera Wang dress on Ebay.
