Married at First Sight UK contestant Megan has opened up on how much the audience don't get to witness due to the heavy editing of the show.
The 26-year-old realised how much of what was filmed ended up on the cutting room floor after watching her and husband Bob's honeymoon episode.
The wellness coach posted a video on her social media after watching her scenes air yesterday (September 1).
"It's wild how much you don't get to see," Megan says in the video.
"I know it's reality and I know it's a TV show, but even me watching it back, it's crazy how much relationship progression or regression you don't get to see.
"You don't get to see them breakdowns of relationships, you don't get to see the progression either."
Megan and Bob spent their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, where she said they filmed for up to 12 hours a day.
"Some days, we were filming for 12 hours, that is an insane amount of footage and that was nearly every day," the contestant explained.
"We were filming constantly. It was so intense and so much happened and you literally see hardly anything. Literally just a snippet."
Megan then urged Married at First Sight UK viewers to "be kind" when commenting on the show.
Her feelings were echoed by another contestant of this season, Nikita, who also complained about how little viewers got to see of her big day with husband Art.
"Everybody knows what it involves, it's cropped and edited for your entertainment,’ Nikita said on Instagram after the first episode.
"If every single wedding went plain sailing and it was fine and dandy, there was no agg, it would be boring as a viewer to watch. Nobody would want to see that."
Married at First Sight UK continues tonight (September 2) at 9pm on E4.
