Married At First Sight's Amy says unaired scenes would change public opinion
Amy from Married At First Sight UK has claimed there are a number of unaired scenes from the show which would change the context of her arguments with Josh.
The 34-year-old sports journalist from Cornwall was matched with Josh, a 26-year-old in insurance from West London. While they initially had a sexual attraction, viewers have seen the pair clash, with one particular argument seeing Amy walk off screen.
In a new interview with The Mirror, Amy insisted unaired scenes would explain why it felt like the arguments came from nowhere. "They're not showing any context and then the bread thing... That was the day I just lost my rag with the whole process and I wanted to leave," she says.
"Like, it wasn't anything to do with Josh, but just the whole situation of like, 'We can't go anywhere without a chaperone', like you're just never alone and it's just like a long process."
Amy continued, "I really wish looking back now that I'd just held it in and kept my cool, but I can't. I'm not somebody who can conceal and hide my emotions. There were other things going on behind the scenes that made me like that.
"I just feel like I've been portrayed in a certain way and I'm really not like that," she added. "How you saw me on the final date, laughing and giggling, we're like two kids."
Tonight's episode [30 September] sees Amy and Josh's final commitment ceremony, where they decide whether to stay together or go their separate ways.
