Married at First Sight Australia star Domenica Calarco has explained what happened with Tamara Djordjevic, saying their fallout is connected to her OnlyFans controversy.

The make-up artist took part in the ninth season of the reality TV programme, where experts pair up strangers for a social experiment that might lead them down the aisle.

In a recent Q&A session with her fans on her Instagram Stories, the former MAFS star said that she and Djordjevic drifted apart after Calarco's NSFW picture went public (via The Daily Mail).

"I think my relationship went sour after the photo drama definitely," Calarco told her Instagram followers about her friendship with Djordjevic.

"In saying and upon reflection and watching the show... obviously Tamara was going through a lot with Brent at the time," she continued.

"She clearly didn't want to be in the experiment and I think that kind of affected her in many different ways and I can see that's why she treated me the way that she did."

Earlier this year, the New South Wales police investigated a complaint about the alleged circulation of a private image of Calarco without her consent.

Her rival on the show, Olivia Frazer, was accused of sourcing and showing a nude picture of Domenica, outing her as an OnlyFans model to their co-stars. Frazer claimed that she had received the picture from a friend and denied it was behind a paywall.

In May this year, Frazer also made a claim that the show's producers had used the scandal for a show plotline.

"We were wondering if producers had left it up on purpose to maybe create a storyline. We just had the Simon Blackburn scandal," she alleged.

"I think producers intentionally left it all up as entrapment to create a storyline, which they got."

Digital Spy has reached out to the show for comment.
