Married At First Sight UK's Kieran Chapman and Kristina Goodsell, who initially had a promising start after being matched on the show, seem to have hit a rough patch. This comes after Kieran compared his bride to his ex-girlfriend in a teaser for tonight's show, a comment that didn't go down well with Kristina.

She walked out during their golf date, and Kieran faced significant backlash on social media for his remarks. Kieran has since addressed the incident, criticising the show's producers on his Instagram Story. Speaking directly into the camera, he said: "So I've seen the unveiling for tonight, and it's all about me writing how Kristina is different to my ex.

"It's a hard watch; however, I'm p***** off with editing because I was told on the sofa to write these down. I haven't just written these down off my own back, I wouldn't do that."

He continued: "I was told to do that by the experts as part of my task, but the amount of comments now is just f****** unbelievable. I'm going to log off [Instagram] for a few days because this is hurting a lot.

"I know I hurt Kristina by saying what I said, but I was being honest, and you can't blame me for being honest."

In another Instagram post, he shared a photo of himself smiling alongside his "incredible" wife, as well as images of them both crying in an upcoming episode. He penned: "This experiment is way more difficult than you can ever imagine. To be matched with a total stranger to work out if you can see yourself spending the rest of your lives together within a matter of weeks... the emotions that you fast-track through are unexplainable.

"Tonight is HEAVY... @kristinagoodsell and myself pour our hearts out once again... Nip to your corner shop and grab some tissues before 9pm, cause it's super emotional for every single one of us on that table tonight.

"It's really hard to stay strong when folk are talking utter b******* about your life of the back of literal minutes of what we go up to. I've said it before and I'll say it again... TV is edited."

Married At First Sight continues at 9pm tonight.
