Mars is bringing back a classic 1980s chocolate bar
Mars is set to revive a classic 1980s chocolate bar. The iconic Marathon has made a comeback today and will remain available until December.
Renamed Snickers in 1990 to match its US branding, the nutty chocolate treat is still remembered as Marathon by many people across Britain. Now, for a limited time only, the Marathon bar is returning to the shelves of Morrisons but you have to be quick as it won't be around forever.
This isn't the first time the Marathon bar has made a comeback, in 2019, the chocolate bar proved so popular that over four million were snapped up in only 12 weeks. The Snickers bar was originally launched in 1930 and named after the Mars family's favourite horse. It was launched as Marathon in 1967.

Steve Waters, senior brand manager commented on the return of the chocolate bar: "We're excited to bring back the Marathon bar branding for a limited period.", reports the Manchester Evening News.
"It's a great way to celebrate over 90 years of Mars making chocolate in the UK. We hope fans of Snickers, who remember when it was called Marathon, will enjoy picking it up in store''
