Martin Lewis issues 18-hour warning and says MoneySavingExpert team 'may be in touch'
Martin Lewis has issued an 18-hour warning ahead of his next TV appearance. The BBC Sounds podcast presenter and ITV star will be on This Morning tomorrow (Tuesday September 17) for a call-in where he'll field questions from concerned viewers.
Martin said: "Tomorrow on @thismorning I've doing a winter bills phone in - on energy bills, fixing, standing charges, winter fuel payments, pension credit, warm home discount and owt else you want to ask me. If you've got a question just suggest it by reply (and the team may get in touch)"
The callout on Twitter, now X, comes after the Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ) scrapped Winter Fuel Allowances for people who DON'T receive Pension Credit. A social media user asked: "I'm due full pension in December. I'm also on ESA. Can I get pension credit??"

"The sq. footage rule on the WHD has disbarred many disabled, low income, the very demographic it was designed to help from qualifying as homes are typically smaller. Is there any hope of this being looked at again?" a second asked.
"Could you deal with the discrepancy between pre 2016 basic state pension and new state pension please Martin?" another asked. "Is there any scope for reducing standing charges? I realise this isn't supplier specific but a large % of my monthly bill is to cover the standing charges over usage," another said.
Another said: "Please address the issue of car tax catching people in years two to six. Low emissions but colour took my parents over £40k and we were not told do they have had a huge shock" And another said: "Just fixed with EDF Exclusive fixed Nov25 (14 days cooling off) hope this was right???
" Car insurance seems to have gone up another £100 this year??? When will one of the big boys reduced so others will follow? I’ve got until 30 October."
