Martin Lewis has issued a 30-hour warning to UK households and urged them to "spread the word". The BBC Sounds podcast host has spoken out ahead of his ITV show returning with a debt help special on Tuesday night (January 21) from 8pm.

Mr Lewis wrote: "DEBT HELP SPECIAL - PLS SPREAD WORD. Do you have credit card, loan, overdraft or BNPL debt? On tomorrow's @itvMLshow 8pm I'll take questions on how to slash the cost (or deal more easily) with 'em all.

"Plus I'll be joined by debt counsellors for questions on IVAs, bankruptcy too. So if you've got a question pls post here Or to keep it anonymous email the team at martinlewis@itv.com." The callout for questions comes ahead of Tuesday night's edition of his ITV show.

"How do you consolidate if you have a bad credit score? What is the quickest way to get rid of debt and still keep your mortgaged house?" asked a fan. A second typed: "Got my series link." A third said; "Another good show incoming."

It comes after Mr Lewis celebrated healthy viewing figures in a major update for fans last week. "Wow. Just seen the update of You Gov polling on TV shows for the last quarter of 2024. The @itvMLshow team & I are gobsmacked. Even if vagaries can happen in the polling just to be up there with some of the all time great shows is incredible. Thanks for all who support the show," he said.

A fan replied: "Its positive that you achieve such great ratings. Its negative because so many people absolutely need your help from all the businesses still ripping them off. Keep up the great work." A second laughed: "So basically you're the only thing on TV that people like that isn't either a classic comedy or narrated by David Attenborough.

"Sounds like you need to do a comedy collaboration with Attenborough."
