Martin Lewis' MSE alerts UK households and says 'cheapest ever'
Households have been told about the "cheapest ever" deal available from a top broadband provider. Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert (MSE) has put customers on alert over the offer from Virgin Media.
The company is attempting lure in customers from rivals such as Sky and BT by offering tempting rates. Experts said people need to be quick if they want to sign up as the offer runs out on December 2.
The deal is for new Virgin customers only. MSE said it was worth checking out for households who feel they are paying too much for their broadband and are looking to make savings.

They said households would end up paying £17 a month for broadband under the 18-month contract. While the deal is £24 a month for new customers, the account also comes with credit, effectively making it cheaper.
MSE advised people to consider switching generally, adding around 60% of households could save money by changing provider. They explained: "Cheapest EVER Virgin 264Mb broadband '£17/month'. Switchers in 60% of UK homes can get this Virgin 264Mb broadband-only deal for £24/month, with an automatic £125 bill credit, meaning it's equivalent to £17.06/month over the 18 month contract.
