Martin Lewis' MSE issues urgent £150 warning to HSBC customers
Martin Lewis' MSE has issued an urgent £150 warning to HSBC customers. BBC Sounds podcast host Mr Lewis and his MSE team have spoken out tonight (Friday September 27) with a warning for HSBC UK credit card holders.
MSE said: "If you've got an HSBC Visa credit card, you may be able to earn up to £150 cashback on groceries, fuel and transport over the next three months – but you've only got until 11.59pm on Monday 30 September to check if you're eligible and opt in."
ITV star Mr Lewis' team explains opting in to this cashback offer entitles you to receive 10% cashback on qualifying purchases made using your HSBC Visa Credit Card, up to a maximum total value of £50 per calendar month.

This offer is only for HSBC customers invited to opt in and can’t be transferred to any other person. The cashback offer begins 1 October 2024, and ends 31 December 2024. HSBC UK said: "We may withdraw, alter, extend or replace this offer at any time.
"If we do this, we’ll let you know in advance by email. In order to be eligible for this cashback offer, you must have opted in." You’ll also need to have made a set number of qualifying purchases on your card each calendar month to start earning cashback, the bank stipulates.
You can find details of this threshold in the message we sent inviting you to opt in. Once you’ve met this threshold, you’ll earn cashback on those and any further qualifying purchases you make that month, up to the maximum value, the terms and conditions from HSBC states.
The bank - which is rivalled by the likes of Santander, Nationwide, NatWest, Lloyds and Barclays - says qualifying purchases include those for groceries, fuel and public transport in the UK using your HSBC Visa credit card or any additional card on your account.
MSE warned: "You need to opt in before 11.59pm on Monday 30 September. If eligible, you should already have received an email with instructions on how to sign up. If you manage your HSBC Visa credit card through HSBC's app, you'll also have received a notification if you're able to apply. Fail to opt in and you won't get the cashback, even if you're eligible for it."
