Martin Lewis' MSE issues warning to Tesco shoppers buying wine or Prosecco

Martin Lewis and his Money Saving Expert team have urged shoppers to take advantage of a new Prosecco and wine offer at Tesco. The BBC and ITV star's team explained how Tesco has a 25 per cent discount offer on six bottles of fizz or wine currently.

MSE said: "If you have a Tesco Clubcard, you can get 25% off when you buy six or more bottles of wine and sparkling wine (including prosecco) when you shop online at Tesco or in a store (find your nearest*) until Monday 2 December.

"It’s valid on bottles of wine over 200ml which cost £5.50 or more before the discount (£7 in Wales), and it works on bottles already on offer. You can mix and match bottles and the discount will be applied automatically at the checkout when you scan your Tesco Clubcard.

"Online delivery’s £2-£7, or you can collect from a store for up to £1.99, depending on the time slot you choose." MSE added: "If you’re shopping online, you’ll need to have your order delivered by Monday 2 December to get this deal."

The Tesco terms and conditions stipulate the offer excludes meal deal, boxed and fortified wines under £5.50 in England and Northern Ireland or £7 in Wales and bottles under 200ml. The minimum unit pricing applies in Wales.

The deal is offered at a maximum 36 bottles and the promotion from Tesco, which is rivalled by the likes of Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Lidl, Aldi, Asda, and more, excludes Express, Scotland annd Whoosh, the supermarket has said.

Tesco is also offering a one-litre bottle of Baileys for £10 in stores and online (in England and Wales) until Monday 9 December with a Clubcard. In Scotland, you can get it for £11.05. If you're not a Clubcard member, you can register online for free.
