Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert has urged people with a Tesco Clubcard to spend 50p by TOMORROW. According to MSE experts, there is £18 million worth of vouchers left to use up and the deadline is Saturday (November 30). Tesco Clubcard vouchers remain valid for a period of two years from the date they are issued.

But if you don't want to use your vouchers up just yet, MSE has explained what you can do to extend their validity. But first, to check if your vouchers do expire on Saturday, have a look at the date on the voucher itself if you have it in paper form.

MSE explained: "If you've got a Tesco Clubcard, check if you have any vouchers close to expiring, as £18 million-worth are due to run out on Saturday 30 November. Don't want to spend your vouchers yet? We've got a trick to extend their validity."

You must extend your vouchers by 11.59pm on Saturday, November 30. Explaining the steps to take, MSE said: "Make a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards page (not in store or on other Tesco pages) or donate to one of its partner charities.

"The remaining balance is credited back to your Clubcard account as points. So if you spend 50p using a £5 Clubcard voucher, you'll get 450 points back (worth £4.50). You can then swap your points for vouchers manually or wait for them to be converted with your next statement. The expiry date for these new vouchers will be two years in the future."

The consumer group, which was set up by Martin Lewis, the BBC and ITV star, added: "There's no minimum spend, but the aim's to shell out as little as possible. A good option might be a 50p restaurant voucher (worth £1 at your chosen restaurant)."
