Note: This article contains spoilers for Cloak & Dagger episode 'Ghost Stories'.

Marvel's Freeform series Cloak & Dagger gave us yet another nifty Easter egg in its latest episode that connects it to the Netflix Marvel-verse.

In 'Ghost Stories', we saw Detective Brigid O'Reilly (Emma Lahana) speak about her past a little bit more, and the fact that she used to work with a familiar face.

In a throwaway moment, the detective revealed that she was associated with none other than Misty Knight (Simone Missick).

"Have I ever told you about Misty?" she tells her boyfriend, bringing in a link with The Defenders and Luke Cage – Misty first appeared in the latter of these shows, and is due to appear in the upcoming second season of Iron Fist.

Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb has previously opened up about the new Freeform series crossing over with other Marvel shows, confirming it is "something that we talk about".

"A large time, it has to do with scheduling in a way that you're asking a different question that gets me into trouble to say '#itsallconnected'," he told ComicBook.com. "But it is all connected, in the very basic sense that this is the world that we're living in."

"One of the things that Marvel is very proud about is we don't have made-up cities, we don't have a fictional kind of world, or police force, or anything else like that.

"We try to stay within the lanes of what feels like a real show, and that we carry that from show to show, and that there'll be Easter eggs, and there'll be little things along the way."

New episodes of Cloak & Dagger air on Thursday nights at 8/7c on Freeform and streams on Amazon Prime Video in the UK. Both seasons of Luke Cage are currently streaming on Netflix.
