Marvel's cinematic universe TV output has expanded beyond Agents of SHIELD and the Netflix shows in the last year, with Cloak & Dagger, Runaways and Inhumans all debuting.

Inhumans was frankly rubbish and was rushed to TV after it was originally meant to be a film to compete with the X-Men franchise, so we're kind of glad that it's been cancelled.

Freeform's Cloak & Dagger, on the other hand, is a bit of alright, so the news that it has been given a second series is a welcome one.

The news was announced at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, and it will apparently be "mayhem" (that isn't just a buzzword, by the way, it's more important than that).

The second season, consisting of 10 more episodes, will return to Freeform in the spring of 2019. Amazon Prime carries the show in the UK, and hopefully they won't be too far behind with season two.

Of course, there are still two episodes left of the first season to air in America, so here is a sneak peek at what we can expect from those:

The most recently-aired episode of Cloak & Dagger contained a crossover with Marvel's Netflix series The Defenders, and will end with a post-credits sequence much like the Marvel Studios movies, but we don't know what that will contain just yet.
