Marvel's One-Shots could come back again
Perhaps the casual Marvel fan won't be aware of the studio's One-Shots, but that may soon change, as one Thor: Ragnarok writer thinks their return could be imminent.
Eric Pearson, a one-time writer of Marvel's in-universe short films, has revealed to CinemaBlend that there are "whispers" of a One-Shot comeback.
Explaining that the drop in Blu-ray sales had been a big factor in One-Shots' fade into cinematic obscurity, Eric revealed that there are "definitely whispers of it starting up again".
"And I have a whole folder full of other One-Shots that I just came up with," he added. "And I was like, 'Oh, this will be a fun 8 to 12 pages!'"

The idea of Marvel's One-Shot short films was to fill in any continuity gaps in recent releases, and to explain and expand on stories.
The first One-Shot featured in a Marvel Blu-ray release was The Consultant in 2011's Thor, while the most recent, All Hail the King, was again attached to the God of Thunder in The Dark World.
While Eric Pearson has written four out of the five One-Shots in existence, we're not worried that he'll be out of a Marvel Studios job even if the programme doesn't return.
After all, not only is Thor: Ragnarok going down well with critics, it's also been awarded the highest accolade of the MCU's funniest movie yet.
And in a world where Deadpool exists, that's good going.
Thor: Ragnarok opens in cinemas on October 24 in the UK and November 3 in the US.
