Marvel's Runaways cast have weighed in on whether or not the show will feature the comic's big twist.

The latest Marvel adaptation has now premiered on Hulu in the US and follows a group of aspiring young do-gooders who are the children of actual supervillains with ties to an ancient evil.

So, in the comics, it turns out that Alex Wilder is more than happy to be evil and has known about his true background for a year before the rest of the Runaways.

The first few episodes of the show have had hints towards this, but Rhenzy Feliz – who plays Alex – isn't confirming that the show will keep the same twist.

"Alex is dealing with something different in the series than he is in the comics, so there's a little bit of a different backstory," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

"The series dives much deeper than the comics did, so we're taking it a little bit slower. There's still a lot more to be found out.

"I can't tell you exactly how different and similar they are, but it isn't extremely different. The essence is still there."

Feliz's co-stars are equally as tight-lipped about it, with Ryan Sands saying it would be "amazing to see" and Angel Parker hinting at a Game of Thrones connection.

"[The showrunners] assured us that they were sticking with the comic for the first season, and then they would branch off of that, sort of how Game of Thrones broke off a little bit from the source material," Parker teased.

Marvel's Runaways airs on Hulu in the US. No UK broadcaster has yet been confirmed.
