It seems like the Inhumans TV series is moving along at a decent pace, as Marvel has FINALLY announced a director - well, for a couple of episodes at least.

Admiral's Roel Reine is to helm the first two episodes of the new series, working alongside showrunner Scott Buck, who's been playing over on Netflix's Iron Fist.

Reine isn't known for massive blockbusters and has mainly stuck to straight-to-video sequels, including the likes of The Marine 2, The Scorpion Ring 3: Battle For Redemption, The Man With the Iron Fists 2 and The Condemned 2.

Marvel's latest TV venture will explore the origins of the Inhuman royal family and their leader Black Bolt, who - if you're not careful - will shout at you really loud.

He's actually quite a terrifying character.

The Inhumans are genetically-manipulated humans who discover their superhuman powers after being exposed to the Terrigen Mists when they come of age.

As for crossovers - which are getting more complicated by the day - inhumans frequently go and cause trouble over at Agents of SHIELD, so we have no idea how they're going to work this into the storyline.

We'll have to wait and see there.

As for release dates - Marvel is rolling out the red carpet for this one.

It's previously been revealed that for the show's first two episodes, IMAX will be screening them exclusively from September 1. It'll then make its way into theatres for around two weeks before finally coming to television with ABC on September 26, 2017.
