Marvel Studios' head honcho Kevin Feige has discussed how Black Panther's Academy Award nominations could break the glass ceiling surrounding superhero films.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther is the first of its kind in terms of Oscars attention. Never before has a comic-book blockbuster been nominated for Best Picture at the ceremony.

Can the sky now officially be considered the limit?

Chatting to ET Online recently, Feige was asked whether this historic award nomination feels like it's "cracked open the door where you're now..."

And that's as far as the interviewer got, because the Marvel producer interjected "Get more?" before they could even finish the question.

If that's not a sign of confidence for the future, then we don't know what is!

Could the next batch of MCU projects be heading down the same hallowed red carpet in years to come? We can't wait to find out.

Reflecting on this weekend's Oscars, Feige then explained: "It's overwhelming and it hasn't quite landed.

"I saw Ruth Carter, our nominated costume designer, yesterday at another event, and she said that she's just now starting to get butterflies. And she's been doing an amazing job and doing all sorts of events leading up to this.

"But it just seems like a dream. Until now. People are like, 'No, it's not a dream. It's Sunday afternoon.' So, it's pretty incredible."
