Marvel has unveiled a beautiful piece of artwork as a tribute to Chadwick Boseman, who tragically passed away last week.

The 43-year old actor had been living privately with colon cancer for four years, and his family confirmed that he had died at home, with his loved ones by his side.

Now Marvel has uploaded artwork of the star, showing him as the Black Panther alongside the tree that plays an important role in his standalone movie, as well depicting Boseman's powerful 2018 commencement speech at Howard University, in which he talked about maintaining his integrity in an unfair industry.

"Legend. Warrior. King," the caption reads. "Thank you to Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding for this beautiful piece of art honoring Chadwick Boseman."

Plenty of people from the Marvel franchise and wider entertainment industry have paid tribute to the late star, including Boseman's on-screen Marvel mother, Angela Bassett.

Letitia Wright, who plays T'Challa's sister Shuri in the MCU, shared a beautiful and touching poem earlier this week, in which she said: "I'll never forget the day that I met you.

"Before I got on the plane to LA for my first meeting with you, God told me that you were my brother and that I am to love you as such. And I always did, and I always will."

Disney and Marvel have also confirmed that Chadwick Boseman: A Tribute for a King – A Special Edition of 20/20, which originally aired on ABC, is now available on Disney+.

Viewers can find the programme, hosted by Robin Roberts, under the 'Extras' section for Black Panther on the streaming service.

As well as his Marvel role, Boseman also appeared in movies including 42, Get On Up, Da 5 Bloods and 21 Bridges.
