Marvel is shaking up the MCU with the first look at its newest Disney+ series What If...?.

The concept of the animated series would absolutely infuriate the Time Keepers from Loki, as it splinters off from the main MCU timeline into alternate branches where remixed versions of familiar characters exist.

A trailer for What If...?, which premieres on Disney+ on August 11 for 10 episodes, asks questions like what if Peggy Carter became Captain Britain, or what if Killmonger saved Tony Stark from the hostage situation that made Stark into Iron Man?

"Every universe is different. Each one, unique," The Vision explains in a new trailer.

This series will be extremely special as it features the late Chadwick Boseman's final performance as T-Challa in an episode where the Black Panther joins Yondu (Michael Rooker) as one of the Ravagers.

Disney's first-look trailer has plenty of tidbits to keep MCU fans excited until August, including cameos from Howard the Duck in full crime-fighting mode and the Marvel Zombies in their horrifying glory.

Joining Boseman and Rooker in the cast are fellow Marvel Studios veterans Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston as Thor and Loki, Hayley Atwell as Captain Carter, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Sebastian Stan as Bucky and Josh Brolin as Thanos, among many others.

The Batman's Jeffrey Wright joins the MCU as The Watcher, an all-seeing cosmic observer who will guide the viewers across the multiverse throughout What If...?.

Kevin Feige has also confirmed that his team are already working on ten more episodes for a second season of What If...?, though there are no details on what's to come in those episodes.

Marvel's What If…? will premiere on Disney+ on August 11, 2021.
