David Beckham is so magnetic and charming that not even Mary Berry could resist making lovey dovey eyes when in his presence. And vice versa.

We never knew that we shipped the former Bake Off judge and football's all-time legend before they both appeared on The One Show on Monday (November 20), but now it's all we think about.

David was on the BBC One chat show with Alex Jones and Matt Baker to speak about his work with UNICEF for National Children's Day UK, when the footballer delighted Mary with his own culinary experience.

"I love cooking," he revealed. "I lived in Milan for about 11 months, and I had quite a relaxed schedule with the team so, in the afternoons, I used to go and take a culinary course for five months. The kids loved pasta."

Mary couldn't help but interject with a grin: "Victoria's got jolly lucky, hasn't she?"

Continuing the love-in, Mary made sure to mention that she's passed down her love of sport to her own family.

"My grandchildren are very sporty," she beamed. "They love the outside, in all weather!"
