Former Great British Bake Off star Mary Berry has revealed she two-timed her husband of fifty years - before the pair were married.

The 84-year-old made the naughty revelations but claimed she “wouldn’t change a thing”.

Berry married now retired antique bookseller Paul Hunnings in 1966. But Berry, who is from Bath, Somerset, has now revealed she didn’t only have eyes for him, and kept “several” men close by to “keep her options open.”

Smart move Mary - it was the Swinging Sixties after all. Her future husband was London-based, but Berry would return to her hometown at weekends, allowing her time to see her “Bath one”.

Speaking to The Sun, the star said: “Paul was a friend of my brother’s, and I met him and we sort of did things together.

“But I had another boyfriend in Bath, and he was in London and I used to go home at the weekend. There are weekends you see - I used to drive home on the A4, (as) there was no M4, and I used to go home Friday night and go back on Sunday night.

“Paul was the London one and I had a Bath one, actually there were several in Bath . . . ”

“You keep your options open. To cut a long story short, we (Paul) have been married 50 years and I wouldn’t change a thing really.”

Though known for being rather clean cut, the saucier side of Berry shouldn’t come too much as a surprise, considering her reputation as Queen of the cooking-based innuendo.

Berry began her cooking career in the 1970s, but shot to national fame as judge alongside Paul Hollywood on Bake Off.

She won millions over with her warmth and affection for a cheeky innuendo, which included telling one contestant they had “some irregular-shaped balls”, and another : “Your crack is nice and moist.”

She is also known for coining the expression ‘soggy bottom’.
