Marylebone Music Festival is due to take place this weekend, welcoming London’s music lovers to a series of events across the heart of London.

The festival, now in its third year, will feature concerts staged in various locations around Marylebone between June 21 and June 24.

The event will include concerts directed by Rick Wakeman, Sue Perkins and Anna Richardson, with artists like Alasdair Beatson, Nicholas Daniel and Daniel Rowland all due to perform.

Perkins and Richardson will direct a performance of Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf on Thursday, June 21.

Meanwhile, legendary musician Wakeman will perform a selection of his favourite works live at The Wallace Collection on Saturday, June 23.

This year’s theme also sees the festival celebrate Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s great literary creation Sherlock Holmes with a series of events inspired by the fictional detective.

Tickets for individual events can be bought separately, while weekend passes range from £115 to £190.
