The Masked Dancer spoilers follow.

The Masked Dancer has revealed the identity of another famous face, after Hammerhead's Paso Doble routine led to him swimming out of the competition.

In the latest episode of the Masked Singer US spin-off, Hammerhead received the fewest votes which meant that it was his turn to reveal his identity, and the reality star behind the shark head managed to fool the entire panel before he was unmasked as Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino.

When the time came for the panel to make their guesses, Ken Jeong and guest panellist Whitney Cummings both immediately opted for another Jersey Shore star, Pauly D.

Ashley Tisdale was convinced that the Hammerhead was from the world of comedy, settling on comedian and actor Kevin Hart as her guess.

Brian Austin Green suspected that another Jersey Shore star, Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino, was the mystery dancer, while Paula Abdul guessed that he was YouTube star David Dobrik.

But when Hammerhead removed his shark head, he revealed himself to be none other than Vinny Guadagnino – something which infuriated Abdul, who said that she had mentioned his name earlier in the day but hadn't chosen him as her final guess.

When host Craig Robinson asked Guadagnino how he had found the experience, he said: "It was great. I'm not a professional dancer... but I like to learn new things."

He added that being on the show was "the most fun thing I've ever done" and said that "the Hammerhead is not who I am in real life at all, so I love the anonymity of it".

Guadagnino's clues package had included a sports jersey and a bottle of suntan oil as a clue to his Jersey Shore fame, while there was also Las Vegas imagery which referenced his 2019 Chippendales hosting residency there.

The remaining mystery dancers – Zebra, Tulip, Exotic Bird, Sloth and Cotton Candy – will return next week for another round of anonymous dancing, with The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik due to appear as a guest panellist.

The Masked Dancer continues next Wednesday, February 3, on FOX in the US.
