ITV's costumed extravaganza The Masked Singer waved goodbye to another celebrity tonight (January 2).

Presented by Joel Dommett, the singing competition previously unveiled 'Murder on the Dancefloor' hitmaker Sophie Ellis-Bextor inside the Alien get-up, but who was performing as the Seahorse?

Voted out by the judging panel (Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Mo Gilligan), it was Spice Girls icon Mel B whipping off the mask in the end.

Recognised by Mo, Davina and Rita before her big reveal, Mel (real name Melanie Brown) confessed her shock over being found out so early.

"I thought I disguised myself pretty well with my voice and accent, and trying not to be like me – I guess I didn't do that..." she reflected, before Rita suggested: "Sometimes when you're too iconic, you're too iconic!"

During her end-of-show interview, Mel was asked by Joel why she decided to take part in the first place.

"Well, because the show's a great show," she replied. "You just get to not be yourself for a second."

That's two celebrities down already; have you managed to come up with any theories regarding the remaining singers?

The Masked Singer continues next Saturday (January 9) on ITV at 7pm.
