The Masked Singer judge Jonathan Ross is in hot water following one of his guesses on tonight's episode (January 25).

Each member of the judging panel is guilty of outlandish comments on the show (Ken Jeong, we're looking at you), but it appears as though the chat show host has rubbed viewers up the wrong way with his latest one.

Following Daisy's performance, Jonathan explained why he thought it could be Natalie Cole hidden under the mask - Nat King Cole's daughter who passed away back in 2015.

Twitter users are now calling for Jonathan to apologise for his ill-informed guess, while also criticising ITV for keeping this moment in the show (it's not filmed live).

One viewer wrote: "Jonathan Ross just suggested the Daisy is Natalie Cole but she died in 2015. These judges are losing all credibility as the weeks go on."

Another shared "#MaskedSinger isn't live is it? So seems a bit crass to leave in Jonathan Ross suggesting Daisy is Natalie Cole when she died in 2015."

Warning: strong language follows.

Digital Spy has reached out to ITV for comment.

The Masked Singer returns next Saturday (February 1) on ITV.
