Masked Singer star Davina McCall thought 'I'm going to die' before making major change

The Masked Singer star Davina McCall has opened up about her crippling health fears that left her thinking that she was "going to die".

During a recent interview in the Times, the former Big Brother presenter revealed how she had been consumed by fear over her health worries as she recalled a trip abroad with her family last year.

Looking back on the trip to Ibiza, the getaway was initially going according to plan as she said: "I’m going to stop being so anxious about health. I went clubbing with my kids in Ibiza this year and it was brilliant. I was always tucked up in bed by 1.30am — no all-nighters."

However, after returning back to her accommodation, she was alerted by one thing as she looked down at her wrist: "But even then I was thinking, “God, my sports watch says I’m going to get a bad night’s sleep here… I’m going to die.”

But, despite her sports watch sparking fears that she was "going to die", she claimed that she's going to put all of that behind her, adding: "What I really want to do is bin the sports watch and stop worrying. It might make me live for a shorter amount of time, but so what?"

The TV host took to Instagram two months ago to reveal that she had been diagnosed with a benign colloid cyst. But, after successful surgery to have the cyst removed, Davina happily informed fans that she was "on the other side".

Davina added that she has seen one change since the operation: "My short-term memory is a bit remiss but that's something I can work on. I'm writing down everything I'm doing to keep myself feeling safe."

In a hugely successful career to-date, Davina has become a regular face on our screens down the years thanks to her roles hosting the likes of Long Lost Family and The Masked Singer. But, it was for presenting the long-running Big Brother that Davina became a household name in the UK.
