The Masked Singer judge Nicole Scherzinger has said she is open to returning to The X Factor if she got the call.

The Pussycat Dolls singer is currently a panellist on The Masked Singer US along with actor and comedian Ken Jeong, television personality Jenny McCarthy and singer-songwriter Robin Thicke, with Nick Cannon as host.

However, with Simon Cowell recently suggesting the US version of The X Factor will come back, could fans see Scherzinger stepping back into her vocal mentoring role?

When asked on Channel 4's Steph’s Packed Lunch on Friday (March 17) if she would join The X Factor again, Scherzinger said: "I don't know. I haven't spoken to Simon in a minute, sending lots of love to him and his new fiancée, Lauren, my dear friend.

"If so I'd love to come back on, and I love The X Factor, and I really value all the years that I was on the show and all the beautiful contestants that were on the show."

The X Factor was not the only potential reunion she was asked about while on the show.

TV host Steph McGovern could not resist asking if she would reunite with her former Pussycat Dolls bandmates.

“I mean, who knows. Obviously we've seen in the past few years with the pandemic, no one can predict the future," she said.

“But I love my girls, I'm proud of them, I love seeing all the new things that they're up to and you never know what the future holds.”

Steph's Packed Lunch is on at 12.30pm on weekdays on Channel 4.
