The Masked Singer US spoilers follow.

A heavy metal icon was revealed to be under the Doll disguise in the latest episode of The Masked Singer US.

During last night's (April 5) Movie Night episode, in celebration of Warner Bros' 100th anniversary, Doll was forced to take off their mask after winning the previous week's show.

Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider was unveiled, with judge Ken Jeong branding him a 'legend' following his performance.

None of the judging panel guessed his identity correctly, with Jeong guessing Austin Butler, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg opting for Iggy Pop, Robin Thicke naming Gene Simmons, and Nicole Sherzinger going for David Lee Roth.

On his unmasking, Snider said: "Let me tell you, Gene Simmons, Iggy Pop, no one could work pumps like I do," referencing the large heeled shoes he had been performing in.

He let out a cry of "We're Not Going to Take It!", the star's hit song, before thanking the audience.

After Snider was unmasked mid-episode, Dandelion and Mantis went up against each other in the Battle Royale after the former performed Judy Garland's 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow', and the latter belted out Bob Seger's 'Old Time Rock 'N Roll'.

For the final Battle Royale, the pair sang '(I've Got) a Golden Ticket', a song from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, in a bid to remain in the competition.

Dandelion was declared the winner, with Mantis destined to be unmasked. However, this season of the show has employed the Keep It On bell that saves contestants up for elimination and automatically progresses them to the next round.

Thicke rang the bell just before Mantis revealed their identity, meaning they will now go up against Medusa and Gargoyle in the wild-card round.

The judges shared who they thought was the voice behind the bug, with Jeong saying it was Bruce Springsteen, McCarthy Wahlberg picking Kevin Bacon, Thicke guessing Dennis Quaid, and Scherzinger thinking it is Keanu Reeves.

The Masked Singer US season 9 airs on Fox, while The Masked Singer UK airs on ITV1.
