The Masked Singer US saw an unexpected twist last week, when the Gremlin unmasked himself mid-competition as Mickey Rourke. This week's episode, however, went to plan when it was time for Giraffe to reveal their identity.
After failing to impress with their rendition of Kool and the Gang's 'Get Down On It' in last night's (October 7) show, gentile Giraffe was sadly given the boot from the competition – but not without unmasking themselves first.
Unsurprisingly, judge Ken Jeong was miles off with his guess of will.i.am, as Giraffe was none other than Beverly Hills, 90210 star...
Brian Austin Green!
Speaking to TVLine about his time on the weird and wonderful reality series, Green revealed that he had no say in his costume, as he wanted to "stay in [his] lane" as the actor-turned-mystery-singer.
"When they called me about the show they were like, 'What costume ideas do you have?' And I went, 'I want the wardrobe department and the costume department to just go for it, to just think on their own what they think I would like'," Brian explained.
After choosing the Giraffe over the Serpent costume, because it "fit" and "excited" him "the most", Brian praised the behind-the-scenes department for giving him such a great choice.
"[The costume] wasn't threatening at all," he added. "It just seemed like I could do the most with that... I left it up to them. They've won Emmys doing exactly what it is they do. What kind of asshole do I think I am to say my costume should be what?"
The Masked Singer US continues next Wednesday (October 14) at 8pm on Fox. The show's UK equivalent airs ITV.
