Since The Masked Singer started earlier this year, viewers have turned into sleuths to figure out who is behind the elaborate costumes.

While some stars have taken to Twitter to deny being on the show, host Joel Dommett admitted not everyone has been telling the truth.

Speaking on This Morning ahead of this Saturday's grand final, Joel said: "There’s one name that I think everyone who filmed it, did not expect it to be that person.

"I think it’s the person that’s sort of alluded everyone throughout the entire thing."

He added: "To throw spanners in the works, I’ve seen this twice, people who it actually is on social media, they say it isn’t them."

Joel also admitted that the contestants have been going to some extreme lengths to cover up their real identities.

"People are disguising their singing voices, people are disguising their talking.

"Hedgehog’s actually thrown a lot of people off, because they were very posh at the beginning and then they turned into something else."

The grand final will see Hedgehog, Queen Bee and Octopus battle it out to win the show.

All the former contestants will also be back to sing together for the first time, performing a track from The Greatest Showman.

Most recently, viewers saw CeeLo Green was under the Monster costume, while Fox was unveiled as Denise Van Outen.

They followed in the footsteps of Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears, Kelis and The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins, among others.

The Masked Singer concludes Saturday (February 15) on ITV.
