Thanks to ITV's The Masked Singer, Girls Aloud enthusiasts can enjoy a mini reunion over on social media.

Yesterday (February 15), band member Nicola Roberts was unveiled as the performer beneath Queen Bee's costume, as she was crowned the winner of the UK show's first series.

In the final, she beat classical singer Katherine Jenkins and comedian Jason Manford to the top spot, who were both revealed as Octopus and Hedgehog respectively, and Nicola celebrated her victory at home with some old friends.

Utilising her Instagram Story to nostalgic affect, Nicola reposted a thread of videos from an 'unmasking' party, which was also attended by former bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Cheryl Tweedy.

Kimberley originally uploaded the videos to her Instagram, which included a quick clip of her embracing Nicola with the caption: "Could honestly not be prouder...you are amazing @lilcola I love you so much [sic]."

Later on, one video featured Kimberley shedding a few tears over her friend's sensational success on the show and Cheryl cheering for her friend.

Kimberley wrote: "I'M SUCH A BL**DY SOFTY BUT SO PROUD OF HER [heart emoji]."

Meanwhile, following Nicola's unmasking, judge Rita Ora showered her with compliments.

"I knew your voice, you have such a distinctive tone!" she confessed, "but on top of that, this show I swear has shown your vocal like I don't think anyone has ever heard you ever, ever before."

The Masked Singer aired on ITV.
