Massive fire rips through cigarette factory in Indonesia

A huge blaze ripped through a cigarette factory in Indonesia late on Monday evening (November 7). Footage shows bright orange flames gutting the PT Gudang Garam building in the Kediri Regency of East Java on November 7. Dark smoke billowed from the plant as several fireballs erupted from inside. The local fire department dispatched eight firetrucks to the scene after receiving a report at 11.30 pm local time. Firemen were still battling the fire six hours later as its sheer size made it difficult to bring under control, local media reported. Authorities will be investigating its cause after firefighting operations have concluded.
