A massive new ceilidh event where single people can dance and meet new connections is coming to Glasgow for the first time.

Taking place on December 5 at the Vennel Box Hub on Washington Street, the event follows the massive success of Pip Social's Edinburgh Singles ceilidhs, with the duo behind them bringing the magic to Glasgow for the first time.

Launched last year by Edinburgh-based co-owners Jennie and Sarah, each of the events is designed to help single people meet people in real life to form natural connections and to make "being single something to shout about".

Ready to kick off the festive season, the pair say ceilidhs are a great way of making connections, laughing, having fun and "dancing the night away with a fab group of singles".

Aimed at single people in Glasgow tired of the digital dating scene, the events, which came to Glasgow for the first time recently, are a fun new way to meet people and form genuine connections.

Speaking about the event, co-founder Jennie said: "If you've no ceilidh experience, it's not a problem as we have an expert band, The Da Hooley Ceilidh Band, to walk everyone through the dances.

"We can't wait to bring this one to Glasgow, it's a guaranteed night of festive cheer and unforgettable fun!"

That's not all, they are also bringing a Friday Night Party on November 1 at the Grosvenor Cafe, with live music, drinks and dancing.

Jennie and Sarah said they invite people to come solo or if it makes them feel more comfortable, they can bring a mate along to enjoy the fun.

If you are interested by the Friday Night Party or the Ceilidh, you can buy tickets now from the Pip Social website.
