Dramatic Moment Massive Waves Send Coast Guard Boat Airborne

A US Coast Guard boat was sent airborne by “massive” waves on Lake Michigan on Monday, September 9.

This video, captured by Nate’s Dronography in St Joseph, Michigan, shows what the recorder described as “massive” waves on the lake throwing the boat in the air.

“The boat is designed to NEVER capsize!” the recorder said.

A marine alert was in place for the area on Monday, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which warned of waves that could reach up to six feet. Credit: Nate’s Dronography via Storyful
