The viral collection of tips has helped dozens of road users, who have since weighed in with tips of their own.
Some tips made the practice of parking on an incline much easier while other parts of the TikTok post provided help in making the drive off from the parking spot an issue-free experience.

Advice from the TikTok reel suggested parking away from the kerb, with the front wheels pointed towards the road. It read: "When you park uphill, turn your wheels away from the kerb. That will create a safe angle. In case your brakes fail, the wheels will bump into the kerb and prevent the vehicle from rolling back."
For those who found themselves parking where there was no kerb, then the wheels should be turned the other way "so your vehicle will roll away from traffic." Downhill parking help was also on hand, with wheel turning action needed once more to make for a safe park.
"When you park downhill, turn your wheels toward the kerb," the TikTok suggested. "Now if the brakes fail, your vehicle won't roll down but will be stopped by the kerb." The suggestion to turn the wheels away from the kerb where there is not one tall enough to stop the vehicle from rolling was also suggested.
Comments left on the TikTok post suggested parking in first gear and pulling the handbrake so that "even if the brake fails, the first gear won't let the car move." Another user added: "and when you are parking uphill leave it in first and downhill in reverse so that yur car will also be stopped by gearbox [sic]."
