MasterChef viewers are annoyed at the lack of carrots
MasterChef is heading towards its finale, but it's safe to say tonight's second professional kitchen task left viewers underwhelmed.
The episode itself delivered on the high-tension and pressure we've come to expect from the show, but viewers were unimpressed that all that effort and stress resulted in such a small amount of food.
What really drives the point home is the fact that one of the most intense, hardest dishes literally came with one carrot.

Massive plates don't help when you're already serving tiny portions! #MasterChef

In fact, it's safe to say that the pretentiousness of the menu in general made viewers hungry for some good old comfort food.
Just make them a fish finger butty. Proper food, not that pretentious rubbish #MasterChef

Prawn crackers on a dessert? Sheer lunacy! #MasterChef

#MasterChef food looks pretty but I'd have to get #fishandchips after to fill up...

Fun fact: the Welsh word for carrot is 'moron'. The more you know...
Viewers also felt bad for Imran, who was criticised for being slow, despite having to assemble a dish with a swirl that you have to get just right, while Lorna was praised for her course that didn't seem nearly as complex.
Of course Imran is struggling.............he's got an absolute bastard of a dish to assemble!! #MasterChef

Surprised Imran is struggling with the spirals - shouldn't a dentist have a steady hand?! #MasterChef
- Jacqueline Button (@JL_Button) April 27, 2017
I think Imran's drawn the short straw here... #MasterChef #MasterChefUK
- Stephen Smallman (@mr_smallman) April 27, 2017
Think it's mean expecting Imran to do the spiral to perfection, that's not about cooking! #masterchef

Luckily, Imran narrowly escaped getting sent home, as Shauna really failed to impressed in the MasterChef kitchen.
Now there are only ten contestants in the running, who's going to win?
MasterChef continues tomorrow on BBC One.
