Mathew Knowles: Michelle Williams Is On For A Destiny’s Child Reunion

Almost three weeks on from the news that a Destiny’s Child reunion was looking ‘hopeful’, Mathew Knowles – Beyonce’s poppa and former manager of the trio – has further ignited rumours and filled our lives with excitement at the prospect of the Independent Women making a comeback.

Mathew has insisted that plans are underway for his daughter Bey, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland to record a new album! (Side note: Our ears are not ready for this either)

In an interview with Heat magazine, he opened the can… “There will be another Destiny’s Child album and a reunion.”

…and spilled the beans: “I got a wonderful email from Michelle two nights ago. She said, ‘Shouldn’t be a problem with you and I. I’m clear on who does what and that’s all that matters. I’ve been clear on my role for 15 years and have no issues.”

If this news is actually true and Michelle is on board, then ladies and gents, please prepare your palms…

Mathew was famously fired by each of the ladies over consecutive years between 2009-2011, and yes, that includes his own daughter Queen Bey.

Fired schmired! That’s water under the bridge for Mat, who has always been supportive of the Crazy in Love star and her sister Solange, appaz.

He said: “When my kids were growing up, their mom (Tina) had the number one hair salon in Houston and made a million dollars and their dad was the number-one sales rep for the most prestigious corporation in the world.” Wowzer, someone get him a trumpet!

“That’s the environment they grew up in. Anything they wanted, I made sure they had the tools to be successful. Had one of them said, ‘I want to be a doctor’, I would have said, 'Go to medical school. I’ll support you when you graduate, I’d go out and buy a hospital.’ I’d want them to work at the hospital we own,’” he added.

We WANT a Destiny’s Child reunion! Does that mean it will come true? Is that how it works? *Fingers crossed*
