A fake news conference has been staged by Matt Damon to raise awareness of the water shortage crisis in the world.
In the spoof Water.org news conference Damon said: "In protest of this global tragedy, until this issue is resolved, until everybody has access to clean water and sanitation, I will not go to the bathroom."
The 42-year-old, who co-founded the charity, said he hoped the strike would start an online conversation about the crisis.
In the stunt, the Oscar winner says that 2.5 billion people do not have access to clean water and he is using the comedic online campaign to raise awareness of the worldwide problem.
The video encourages people to donate \$25 to the campaign, which the charity says can provide someone with clean water for life.
World Water Day is on March 22, 2013.
