Matt Hancock appeared to have more of a spring in his step than Boris Johnson today as he leapt over fences and did press-ups in St James’s Park.

The Health Secretary was spotted leaping over fences in St James’s Park and doing push-ups on the grass.

Mr Johnson, meanwhile, was snapped taking a breather during his run in Westminster.

The Cabinet minister previously faced comparisons with Alan Partridge when he shared a video of himself with slow-motion clips of him jumping off objects with a parkour expert.

He said at the time: “I’ve seen it on YouTube and it’s amazing but you never think you can get involved because I can’t do those sorts of flips.”

Mr Johnson said this week that he is “doing all I can to lose weight”.

The Prime Minister said he has been eating fewer carbohydrates, avoiding chocolate and “no more late-night cheese”, coupled with early morning runs and that he felt “full of beans”.
