The new series of Top Gear is back on our screens in a fresh, Chris Evans-less format – but something wasn't quite right in tonight's debut.
Around halfway through the programme, Matt LeBlanc is quite clearly heard to say the word "shit". Before the watershed. Whoops!
The new presenting trio of Matt, Rory Reid and Chris Harris were in Kazakhstan watching on at the traditional sport of kokpar – a kind of polo where a goat carcass is chucked into a goal – when a disgusted LeBlanc blurted out the blue language.
"I gotta say, this is right up there with some of the grossest shit I've ever seen," he exclaimed – to which Rory and Chris chuckled emphatically.
Now it's hardly the most outrageous thing to happen on TV, but the watershed is the watershed and the premature expletives have certainly raised a few eyebrows among viewers.
