Matt Tebbutt forced to intervene on Saturday Kitchen as guest calls out 'daddy'
BBC presenter Matt Tebbutt found himself intervening when a Saturday Kitchen guest went off-script by referring to a celebrity as "daddy".
The much-loved weekend show provided some unexpected moments when Matt had to swiftly address a remark made shortly into the show on Saturday morning (September 14). Matt was sharing the show with culinary experts Rick Stein and Ching-He Huang, alongside special attendees Richard Ayoade, Jaega Wise, and beverages connoisseur Olly Smith.
The programme took an unforeseen turn right from the start when Matt was forced to admit that things had "gone in a direction I didn't expect already" as comedian Richard pointed out something that took place off-air.
When Richard jokingly told him he would like Matt to make a "breakthrough" on anything he wanted to offload, drinks expert Olly said: "I would love to Daddy!"
Matt intervened, saying: "Don't call him daddy, that's weird! That's weird already," making his discomfort clear.

While Olly seemed amused, attempting to continue the joke by calling Richard his "new daddy", Matts unease was palpable, evident in his blushing reaction, reports the Express.
Even as Jaega Wise, laughing along, Matt responded: "Not expecting you to be called 'daddy' at this time of the morning".
Viewers were in stitches about the exchange and flocked to X to share their views, with many expressing their amusement at Richard's quip. One viewer commented: "Great guests this morning." Another shared: "Pay Richard Ayoade double his fee already."
Another viewer commented: "Never really come across Richard Ayaode before as tend not to watch mainstream TV but between bouts of working on my day off he is a welcome distraction. Very amusing."
This buzz arrives hot on the heels of news that Richard has inked a deal for a trio of books with Faber and Faber, where he'll pen his thoughts blending intense passion for film and an acute sense of absurdity in life.
On the subject of the book deal, the craftsman of comedy and acting, Ayoade, remarked: "Faber and Faber has long been one of the most respected and prestigious publishing houses in the country. It is with great pleasure that I can be present at the start of its decline."
Saturday Kitchen airs Saturdays from 10am on BBC One.
