Matt Tebbutt's Saturday Kitchen blunder sparks clash with guest chef Anna Haugh
Saturday Kitchen viewers were left holding their breath this morning (September 21) when a near-miss in the kitchen almost led to disaster.
Host Matt Tebbutt was assisting Irish chef Anna Haugh, who was on the show to showcase her new cookbook, as she prepared a pork dish for the panel.
Anna appeared on the show alongside regular wine connoisseur Olly Smith, author Richard Osman, and writer Sophie Wyburd, who watched from their seats as the culinary action unfolded.
Initially, Matt and Anna seemed to be in sync, but tension rose when Matt, after stirring a pan of marmalade, nearly poured it over Anna's immaculately plated mashed potatoes, reports the Express.

Just before the marmalade could ruin the dish, Anna caught sight of the impending mishap, shouting "No, no, no!". She quickly stepped in with the correct dressing, preventing Matt from completing his pour.
The studio filled with gasps from Olly, Richard, and Sophie at the close call. Olly couldn't help but react with an "Oh Matt!", while Anna playfully scolded, "You're in trouble," and then quipped, "You know what Matt? It's a joy to cook with you because my heart is always racing."
Her comments drew laughter from everyone, including Matt, before she deftly moved on, instructing him to serve the marmalade. "Good man," she added and then requested: "Just a little bit."
"Happy?" Matt inquired, looking at Anna as the final garnish was placed on their carefully prepared dish. "Yep, very happy," came Anna's contented response, as she hopped towards Matt, indicating the roasted pork chop dish was perfected and ready to be served.
