Matthew Perry was keen to laud David Beckham's “good taste” when he spied the former footballer wearing a Friends T-shirt with his character on it.

The father-of-four shared a photo of himself on a walk alongside wife Victoria on Wednesday, showing off a Friends top depicting Perry, 50, as alter-ego Chandler Bing and Matt LeBlanc as Joey Tribbiani.

Reposting the 45-year-old’s picture, Perry jested: "This guy has really good taste. Whoever that is."

Although, his joke may have been lost on some of his followers as the actor later confirmed in another comment that he was in fact well aware of Beckham's identity.

"Guys, i know who it is! I was just joking," he wrote.

Beckham's youngest son Cruz chimed in too as he commented on Perry's post: "Guess who bought him the shirt."

The garment in question features a still from season three episode The One Where No One's Ready, which includes Joey's oft-quoted line “Could I be wearing any more clothes?”.

The show's main cast were due to have a unscripted reunion this summer on HBO Max, however, filming has been delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
