Maura Higgins was brought to tears during a romantic date night with rumoured flame Pete Wicks.

The Love Island star has been romantically linked to Strictly Come Dancing contestant Pete since last month and, on Monday night, the loved up pair were spotted out together on a 'romantic date'.

Maura is reportedly set to fly to Australia any day now, where fans are convinced she'll become a late entry contestant on ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.

During the date she looked gorgeous in a white minidress paired with a sleeveless velvet jacket, reports the Mirror. But her romantic night out with Pete involved a lot of crying - and its not because she is leaving her romantic partner behind whilst she jets off to Australia.

Maura took to Instagram on Tuesday revealing all about the previous evening. She shared that the pair had taken in an evening of music that left her overcome with emotion. They attended the London Palladium theatre to watch Italian pianist and composer Ludovico Einudi in his current UK tour.

Maura shared a picture onto her story, of the promotional posters for Ludovico's performance outside the theatre, with the caption: "I've been counting down the days @ludovico_einaudi."

She later shared a video from the performance and wrote: "Cried all night long." and gushed: "I am in awe of him."

Pete has not posted about his date to the theatre, but at the weekend the Strictly star reduced fans to tears after his emotional post dance interview, where he spoke about his late grandmother Doreen, as the dancing duo danced in her honour.

Standing alongside his dance partner, Jowita Przystał, Pete stated: "I would rather go and spend time with my nan than go out with the boys... I feel more pressure this week than any other. This is my way of her being part of that adventure... Been a tough week, but the one person I wish was here is my nan and she's not so it's the one way for her being here."

A beautiful dance that really meant something. The emotion was authentic, and it really showed how far Pete has come in this competition. I just want to hug him! That was gorgeous!"

Whilst another wrote: "Pete trying not to cry."
