Yahoo News Maura Higgins returns to Instagram with first post since I'm a Celebrity
Maura Higgins has shared her first Instagram post since I'm a Celebrity, calling her time on the show "the best 3 weeks" of her life.
The Love Island star appeared on the recent season of the ITV series, becoming the sixth celebrity to be eliminated from the jungle.
Taking to her Instagram page today (December 12) following last weekend's finale – which was won by Danny Jones – Maura shared a series of photos from the show, including reunions with fellow campmates.

"If you ask me about my time in the jungle I'll say it was so much fun, but if you ask me on a deeper level I’ll say it was the best 3 weeks of my life, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually," she wrote.
"I was so lucky to have met my incredible campmates who are all now my friends for life, and I couldn’t have done it without each and every one of them."
"I’ve learnt that I’m a lot tougher than I think (although spiders still terrify me!) and I am so grateful for each and every person (all 750 of them!) that worked on this incredible show," Maura added. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart and to ITV for an experience of a lifetime. I love you all!"
The star has since received a number of supportive messages in the comments, with fellow campmate GK Barry writing: "Icon," to which Maura replied: "You’re an icon!"

"Love youuuu," added Dean McCullough, Maura replying: "Love yewwww."
The star also received support from a few former I'm a Celebrity winners, with Jill Scott sharing: "You were sooooooo good," while Vicky Pattison added: "Smashed it babe."
Following her elimination last week, Maura addressed a discussion about her rumoured romance with Pete Wicks, notably after sharing in the jungle that she was seeing someone.
Speaking on This Morning, she said: "I do miss him – like I missed all my friends and family!" before adding the Strictly Come Dancing star has "been so supportive" and that she couldn't "wait to see him when [she gets] back".
