Mauricio Pochettino has laughed off Antonio Conte's £100million valuation of Harry Kane, suggesting the Chelsea coach is among those focussing too much on Tottenham.

Conte hailed Spurs star Kane as "the complete striker" earlier this week after the England international won the Premier League Golden Boot for a second season in a row.

The Chelsea coach admitted that Kane, who turned 24 on Friday, would be the one striker in the world he would buy if given the chance, but says the striker is now worth a world-record figure in today's market.

Responding to Conte's valuation of Kane, Pochettino told reporters in the US: "It makes me laugh, because I don't know other people are so focussed on my players and our club.

"I respect every single opinion. I am so respectful of other players, other clubs, other managers, the owners of different clubs."

Conte - whose Chelsea side edged out Spurs for the Premier League title last season - had said of Kane: "For me, Kane, now, is one of the best strikers in the world.

"If I had to buy one striker I would go to Kane. He is a complete striker.

"He is strong physically, with the ball, without the ball, he fights and he’s strong in the air and acrobatic on the right and the left.

"He’s a complete player. He’s one of the top strikers in the world. If you go to buy Kane now it would be at least £100m.

"At least. For me, if I see this price for a striker I know for sure he’s a big striker."
