McDonald’s Triple Cheeseburger Is Officially Back On The Menu

From Delish

What’s better than a cheeseburger? A double cheeseburger, that’s what. But what’s better than a double cheeseburger? Why, a triple cheeseburger of course.

Knowing this, McDonald’s has launched its very own triple cheeseburger! Bravo, McDonald's. Bravo.

The burger is made up of – you guessed it – three beef patties, as well as three slices of cheese. There’s also mustard, ketchup, onions and gherkins in there. So, you can still pick those out if that’s your jam. It’s very much not my jam, but you do you.

It was first trialled in 60 restaurants across the UK back in February. But obviously, everyone loved it, so it's being put on the McDonald's menu permanently. You can grab one as of Wednesday 2 September for £2.19.

The triple cheeseburger was previously on the menu in 1994 to celebrate the World Cup, but back then, it was known as the Hat Trick, according to BurgerLad.

Things have been tough for McDonald's over the past few months, with all branches having to close their doors in March thanks to the UK's lockdown. But restaurants are now back open for eating in, takeaway and drive-thru. Although there is still just a limited menu on offer for now. But items are being added back onto the menu regularly, so things are looking good.
